24-7 Prayer

My slot was finally here and I got my way up the steep hill and into the prayer house, well aware that 144hours of nonstop prayer had already been offered in this very room. Immediately, the HolySpirit led me into a deep worship where I was in the sweet presence of God and that my soul knew very well as my spirit bubbled in joyful exclamations. Deep called unto deep with groanings that words could not express…an indescribable fellowship in the spiritual realm that is more real than the here and now, a conscious encounter with The Most High that is beyond human comprehension. I was then led to a greater level of intercession for particular areas in society amongst other prayer points. Moments of declaring, decreeing and commanding. Moreover,  God reassured me that “of the increase of His government and peace, there would be no end in Sweden!” He also showed me and confirmed that the gates of the City had been opened up and that He, the King of glory, had come in! These two fabulous hours came to an end when I heard a hard knock on the door alerting me that my time was up…no!!!! Where did the time go?

This was my experience when I had the honour of joining the Body of Christ in Gothenburg on the just finished week long prayer chain. On this strategic spot, on top of a hill in one of the only two fortresses in Gothenburg, Christians had the opportunity to unite together in partnering with God through prayer. Individuals and groups signed up for as many hours as they desired to  stand-in-the-gap for the City. To my amazement, each hour of the week was booked in no time…so exciting to see the passion. 🙂

The word of God tells us that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much! This means that our prayers are powerful and effective! Come on now, it is time to intensify in our prayer lives. It’s time to put this power into effect and seize this great opportunity to partner with God and be a supernatural influencer. Touch lives, extend God’s kingdom, stop the devil in his tracks and change things globally through the power of prayer in Jesus name.

Let’s purposely take some time out and pray in the Spirit allowing God to direct our prayers. let’s look beyond ourselves and stand in the gap for our families, friends, acquaintances, neighbours, Nations. Let’s pray for the saints around the world, those in authority, the sick, the destitute, the prisoners, the musicians, the religious leaders, those in the education sector, the widows, the homeless, the persecuted christians….etc.

Let us pray without ceasing…24-7!!
